New Job, New Site

As I begin my transition from being Assistant Director of the Dr. William M. Scholl Center for American History and Culture at the Newberry Library in Chicago to becoming an Assistant Professor of Public History at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, I’ll be redesigning my website. Where the earlier version was more of a site for professional information, I’m hoping to incorporate more blogging in this new version as a kind of open research notebook of the kind talked about by W. Caleb McDaniel at Rice University. So stay tuned. I hope to write more about public history and digital history, fundamentalism and capitalism; evangelicalism and socialism; and that large swath of flyover space most people call the American Midwest, but that I’ve come to call #Heartlandia.
